Is your Business OSHA-compliant?
“Protection from Head Injuries
Hard hats can protect your workers from head impact, penetration injuries, and electrical injuries such as those caused by falling or flying objects, fixed objects, or contact with electrical conductors. Also, OSHA regulations require employers to ensure that workers cover and protect long hair to prevent it from getting caught in machine parts such as belts and chains.”
How Are You Keeping Women Safe at Work?
-
Having long hair when working around machinery can cause serious injuries and even death.
-
According to the CDC, there are 5,000 deaths per year from workplace accidents.
-
OSHA works to prevent accidents like these from happening by developing guidelines referred to as the primary personal protective equipment standards.
-
Outlined in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1910 Subpart, workers are to adhere to these guidelines to prevent injury.
